Why I’m here

After completing my B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering in 2015, I took the logical step to apply for a software engineering position.

At the interview at Creditinfo I was surprisingly asked if I would rather be interested to take a product management position.

To be honest, I had no idea what a product manager really did.

I loved the job, but one thing I was missing was a community where PMs in Iceland would share their experiences, experiments and results and we would learn from each other. Like the software engineering community has been doing actively in Iceland.

At Creditinfo we are always actively trying to improve our product management, identifying room for improvement and trying out ideas. Sometimes they are great ideas and sometimes we realize afterwards that they were not so great.

In this blog, I plan to share what we are doing, both to get suggestions on what we could do differently and hopefully also to give other PMs ideas to try out.
